Established March 2026, the Chorleywood Festival Choir sings a wide range of music, including:
- Classical, secular and sacred
- Jazz & Swing
- Choruses from the West End & Silver Screen
- Favourites from light opera and G&S
- Traditional British songs
Our emphasis is on fun, enjoyment, quality, musical breadth and local participation. We will be accompanied by instrumentalists from our Chorleywood Music community, including members of our orchestra, jazz band, chamber groups and various music ensembles.
As with any keen choir, we perform. In general, this will be in our own locality, but also further afield by invitation. Currently in the planning are concerts on are:
- 24th April, with Chorleywood Orchestra, at St Andrew’s Church, Quickley Lane
- 6th June, venue to be announced
- 4th July, with Chorleywood Orchestra, at St Andrews Church, Chorleywood
Rehearsals are typically from 8-10pm, currently on Thursday evenings, with a break in the middle for tea/coffee, homemade cakes and socializing.
